    • I think this must be the GRO index entry for Alexander - a strange spelling of Alex? (he was recorded as 'Elexander' in the 1861 census)
      It is the only Smith death recorded in Kingsbridge RD in Q1 1864
      GRO ref: SMITH, Ellick q1 1864 Kingsbridge RD 5b 171 (looks to me more like p.111 but as there are other deaths that Q and RD recorded as p.171 but none for p.111 I think the former must be correct)
