    • SFHG Sussex Marriage Index CD - Thomas HAMMOND to Sarah SONE.
No info. re marital status, witnesses etc.

In the parish where the children were baptised, and about 8 months before the 1st baptism makes this marriage a strong contender to be the parents, but with common names it's not impossible it was that of a 'cousin'.
However, although the name Thomas Hammond (and variants) was very common in Sussex, the next index entry for a Thomas Hammond to a Sarah was in 1764, too late for this family (and in Henfield, so not the right area either), and the previous one way back in 1735.
