Name Robert PEPPERELL Relationship with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised 25 Nov 1759 St. Michael and All Angels’ Church, Stokenham, Devon, England - "Robert the Son of Robert Pepperal & Mary his wife was &c"
Gender Male Will 6 Jan 1825 Written Died 8 Jan 1826 Woolston, West Alvington, Devon, England - Abode in burial register. Since it is/was not a Parish I would have guessed it was within Malborough Parish, but the burial of his wife shows it as being in West Alvington, and checking the 1851 Parish boundaries map shows it as clearly in the latter. Presumably using Malborough Church was more convenient; on a map with modern roads it is 2 miles from West Alvington Church but only 1.5 from Malborough.
Date from probate papers, which also show Robert as of West Alvington.
Buried 11 Jan 1826 All Saints’ Church, Malborough, Devon, England - From SouthHams website
Shows abode given in burial register as Woolston, aged 66.
Probate 2 May 1826 To his wife and son William Occupation Yeoman - From his will and probate papers
Siblings 2 brothers and 3 sisters Patriarch & Matriarch William PEPPERELL, b. Est 1600, bur. Between 18 May 1671 and 25 Jan 1675/76, St. James’ Church, Slapton, Devon, England (Age ~ 71 years) (3 x Great Grandfather)

Father Robert PEPPERELL, bap. 22 Feb 1731/32, St. Michael and All Angels’ Church, Stokenham, Devon, England , d. Yes, date unknown Mother Mary PEPPERELL, bap. 3 Nov 1726, St. James’ Church, Slapton, Devon, England , bur. 20 Feb 1799, St. James’ Church, Slapton, Devon, England (Age ~ 72 years) Married 6 Mar 1757 St. Michael and All Angels’ Church, Stokenham, Devon, England - Robert and Mary were both shown as 'of this Parish', married by Banns, Robert signed, Mary made her mark, witnesses were Simon PEPPERELL and John Hext (both signed; I believe John Hext was Parish Clerk at this time).
Despite the growing number of Pepperells in the area these 2 first cousins seem to be the only Mary and Robert who could have married in this year - unless it was a widow / widower marrying (the PR entry doesn't show marital status).
This Robert had a brother Simon who presumably was the one who witnessed the wedding.
A Sally dau of a Robert and Mary was baptised in 1776. Six years without children (or baptised elsewhere) and then another? or a different Robert and Mary? Now the gap is down to 6 years I think it probably was this couple.
If it was this couple I suspect that the Mary who married Robert was a different one, a widow, and not the one shown here.

Family Susanna EVANS, b. Abt 1760, bur. 10 Feb 1841, All Saints’ Church, Malborough, Devon, England (Age ~ 81 years) Married 8 May 1787 All Saints’ Church, West Alvington, Devon, England - n.b. I can't be certain that the Robert who married Susanna was the one shown here.
Robert was a popular name amongst the Pepperells and it is possible that there was another born about 1759.
However, since the Stokenham-baptised son of Robert and Mary appears to have left that Parish and I haven't found him in the neighbouring parishes of Slapton, Sherford etc. it seems quite likely.
From PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 6 Aug 2014):
"No 83/ Robt: Pepperell Bachelor & Sojourner in this Parish &
