With no father named at his birth registration, I am unlikely to find out, unless a descendant discovers it through DNA testing.
Sometimes where an illegitimate child is given their father's surname as a middle name, their first name can also be a clue but I don't believe that is the case here, as there was no Christopher GOATHAM after whom he could have been named. Also, I think it likely he was named after a deceased uncle. His mother had lost a brother Christopher, her brother closest to her in age and to whom she may therefore have been particularly close, about 18 months before the birth of her son whom she named Christopher.
