  Notes	Middle name from his mother's will (Research):Not found (for certain) in the 1939 register He was an age in 1939 that he could have been in the forces and not included in the register. However, there is an entry (redacted as at 18 Dec 2017) between his brother Benjamin and his sister Helen. Usually children are in birth order, and he was younger than Helen, but the entry before her does not fit any other known child of Benjamin and Mary, and the person appears to have had two names that began with a G, judging from tails appearing in the space below. Dying in 1968 George's entry in the 1939 register (if there was one) should have shown he had died. Not only were deaths not always recorded, but the transcription of this page on FMP is appalling bad and I can easily believe the transcriber got it wrong and failed to record him as having died. (His dying in hospital rather than in the care of a local GP increases the chance the GP would not have reported his death and it would not have been noted in the register).
